A prototype of designer and master craft collaboration
The Glass Blow Bowl is a craft object that uses glass blowing techniques to show a space between two layers of glass, representing layers of relationships. As part of Ph.D. research, this piece investigates relationships in craft production. Through research, the dimensionality of the craft object symbolizes the duplicity of relationships – designer and a master craft, master craft and material, material and other physical dimensions.
The Space Between: The actors that comprise relationships in craft production are the unseen values in the space between.
