Reducing racial inequality in healthcare by improving medical education

Medquity.ai is a data platform that uses AI to organize, interpret, and generate data about the BIPOC lived experience in healthcare. The data platform would include socio-economic data, AI generated data, and most importantly, narrative data from real stories of people of color. Interactions with this data would be integrated into the medical curriculum through access to technological touchpoints that are relevant and accessible to students. Whether it is viewing disease progression on the skin of holograms that show people of a variety of races, to interacting with virtual reality AI avatars that exhibit the personalities and history of real people from BIPOC communities, students will experience an increased exposure to treating people of color before clinicals, and receive a medical education that no longer treats medical knowledge/skills and social determinants of health and racial equity as separate entities.
